The comparison here is not only amazing but carries deep down in it such awakening insights that can positively inspire a person. It is important that we look at two names with relative character and draw a comparison. Jesus Christ and Methuselah.

Methuselah is known to be the man who lived the longest on this earth. He lived for (969)yrs.having lived that long, it is pathetic to note that his name is recorded only six times in the entire Bible and was mentioned only in areas that has to do with genealogy. Methuselah was the son of Enoch, the man who was recorded to have been so committed to God. He didn’t see death. The family of Enoch was a godly family, picturing the church of today. Methuselah was part of the church of his days, yet he lived a fruitless life.he had access to the anointing but he was without purpose, meaning and direction; he lived a life without any remarkable achievement.
Friend, you can’t be like Methuselah, you must desire to achieve something profitable on this earth.

In contrast to the life of Methuselah is that of Jesus Christ. Jesus lived for a little over thirty three years on this earth but look at what is written of him… there are… many things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one,… the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.Amen. John21:25.

This means that a lot of Jesus achievements were not recorded. Can you imagine that? Methuselah lived far longer but this wasn’t said about him. Achievement made the difference. Achievement is greater than age. Jesus understood the essence of life, and his life was directed by that knowledge. Knowledge is power yeah, but, knowledge acted upon is the real power.. Hosea4:6. According to Luke2:41-50, is the fact that Jesus had an understanding that led him to fulfilling his essence. This marks the difference between him and Methuselah. A clear understanding of purpose marks the difference between those who succeed and those who fail… Live your life towards fulfilling your purpose..
